STOP.....SWAGGER TIME!!!

So as you all know, I cut the hair and changed my name...now what? Well, to be quite honest, the game has just begun. In addition to officially bringing "swagger" back, I am launching the save the Texas music scene campaign in 2009 headed by yours truly. On behalf of myself and the entire Swagger Bird Clique, I will be putting out the kind of quality projects that made Texas a strong independent market in the early '90s. Among the list of upcoming artists that I will be introducing to the masses is my good friend and very talented Dallas lyricist Natureboy Rowe. His project, entitled "WCW: World Class Wreckin'," is a collaborative effort with producer Rick Flare that is already getting great expectations due to the leaked single "Candy Thang" featuring Pimp C! Also creating a buzz of his own is my artist & Swagger Bird captain Alejon with his sophmore release "Royalty Check." Of course, spearheading and closing the campaign is yours truly PKT with my highly anticipated project "Efly Manning" followed by the long awaited album "Retribution." This year Texas is in the hands- excuse me, I meant on the wings- of the great Swagger Bird Clique! Shout out to all my soldiers- Alejon, Natureboy Rowe, Lunny Capone, King James, Alazae, Abby Fish and Yung Stack- WE ARE TEXAS...WE ARE THE MOVEMENT!!

R.I.P.Pimp Killa Thug

Okay, so I'm sure everyone has heard or seen the "R.I.P. Pimp Killa Thug" all over the internet but contrary to popular belief, PKT is still alive!! In an attempt to shed my image, I cut off my braids and buried the image along with the name Pimp Killa Thug. From here on out, I will be known solely as PKT along with whatever Swagger Bird aliases that I conjure up! And to everybody asking why I made the drastic visual change it's quite simple- I did it to mark the drastic life changes I've made and continue to make. Honestly, I had been growing my hair for more than 5 years in which time I've had 3 more kids, changed jobs, lost friends and family excetera excetera. I looked up and my baby girl turned 1 this month and she is walking!! Everything around me & within me was different but you couldn't look at me and tell without talking to me & that's what I wanted to change. So, I cut off my hair and now everyone knows something's different! Anyho, I'll end this blog with a few shameless plugs- Beastmaster 2:Mick Swagger coming soon and PKT:Retribution coming sooner!! Here is the new and improved PKT......

I DO IT 4 THE LOVE!!!

So I was doing what I always do, making music in the studio, when it hit me- "If you play it, they will listen." LOL!! Seriously though, I figured that since I love making music and people love hearing music (not buying it), I'd might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. So at a date to be determined in August, I am releasing a whole new project on the net for FREE DOWNLOAD!!! It will be called BEASTMASTER 2: MICK SWAGGER featuring production from the infamous Rick Flare of Palm Metal State Productions, the incomparable Breallant of Street Dreemz Productions and rising super producer ONEderkid of BMC Productions. I pretty much kept the features at a minimum by collaborating with just a couple of artists that I have the utmost respect for & feel that don't get the props they deserve- Nature Boy Rowe from Dallas,TX, 50/50 Twin formerly of the Color Changing Clique, Rob Small the R&B sensation formerly of The Boss Hogg Outlawz & a rising underground hip hop artist by the name of Mic Skills. I am going all out with this project like I always do so please download it when I drop it, pass on the word & most of all enjoy the music because I definitely enjoyed making it!!
